Model scoops literary awards

AMANDA Mutabeni – an aspiring model, accountant and author — recently scooped two literary awards.

Her book, “The Realities of Modern-Day Dating”, was adjudged the 2022 Book of the Year during a ceremony hosted by Phoenix Publishing.

She also landed the People’s Choice Author award at the same event.

In October, Amanda launched her second book, “Becoming the Model”.

She was naturally on cloud nine after winning the accolades.

“This is the first time for me to win an award and I am very happy about this achievement. The awards were as a result of dedication and hard work,” she said.

She thanked her family and mentors for supporting and guiding her.

“I give credit to my mentors for guiding me, my family for supporting me and our readers for encouraging me and giving positive feedback. Without these people, I was not going to win the two awards,” said the aspiring model.

“Lastly, I give credit to myself for not giving up and for working very hard to get this book out. I am very happy with the positive outcomes which the awards brought into my life,” she added.
