Models wanted for #iWearMyCultureZW Fashion Weekend 2025

THE city’s fashion circuit is about to get a dose of a fresh opportunity as the #iWearMyCultureZW Fashion Weekend 2025 is set to take centre stage at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe (NGZ) in Bulawayo on Saturday.

The British Council-sponsored initiative, led by Qhawe “Gilmore Tee” Khumalo, is on the hunt for talented male and female models to strut their stuff on the runway and posted the call on their social media pages.

The “#I Wear My Culture” project celebrates Zimbabwe’s rich cultural heritage through fashion, showcasing traditional attire with modern twists.

The event, established in 2023 received accolades from experts for its innovative approach to uplifting local culture.

The project featured ten tribes, each represented through unique fashion art pieces that express their way of life through designs and color compilation.

No casting fee is required of the prospective models for this fantastic opportunity for aspiring models to showcase their skills and be part of a project that promotes cultural pride and exchange. – Follow on X @MbuleloMpofu
