Monoz face Bulls

Motor Action in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League tie at Gwanzura.
Samanja was the skipper of the team and provided the cutting edge in midfield but he has now joined rivals CAPS United.
The player last week signed a three-year contract with the Green Machine, who lured him, to partner Ashley Rambanapasi who is making a return to the club.
But Monomotapa coach Taurai Mangwiro yesterday said life has to go on without Samanja.
“Samanja has moved to join CAPS United and we will miss him. He was an influential member of the team.
“But he has played his part for the side and he felt it was time to move on and we wish him well,” said Mangwiro.
Monomotapa had been rebuilding their squad this season after they lost the services of Tawanda Nyamandwe, Charles Chiutsa, Kuda Musharu and Lincoln Zvasiya.
Musharu and Nyamandwe are now at Motor Action while defender Zvasiya has joined FC Platinum with Chiutsa now re-uniting with Samanja at CAPS United.
Monoz have been “the draw specialists” in the Premiership this season as they have shared the spoils in more than eight matches.
Mangwiro is hoping that they will hold on again against Motor Action before they recharge their batteries in the second half of the season.
“We have had many draws but we hope to improve in the second half of the season.
“Now we just have to play Motor Action and let’s just finish off the first half,” said Mangwiro.
Monomotapa, Mangwiro said, should not lose sleep over Samanja as much as he was a key member of the team.
“I am pleased with the players who are still available and they will do the job.
“There are some good players like Russell Madamombe and Joseph Mutambirwa among them,” said Mangwiro.
The Harare side also has Osborne Mukuradare and goalpoacher Makai Kawashu in their ranks while defender Ocean Mushure and Brian Mapfumo are expected to play a big role for Monoz today.
Former Eagles striker Martin Dumbura and Blessing Chimwamuchere are also expected to be in their starting line-up.
Last season, Motor Action beat Monomotapa 4-0 in the first half of the season but Monoz won the reverse fixture 2-0.
Motor Action have Nyamandwe and Musharu in their side as the duo face their former teammates.
The Mighty Bulls have lost the top spot in the championship race to FC Platinum and would need a win to keep the heat on the log leaders.
Veteran goalkeeper Marlon Jani is expected to guard the posts while Allan Gahadzikwa, Gift Phiri, Edmore Chitato and Edward Tembo could be thrown into the fray.
Motor Action have also struggled for consistency and were recently held to a 1-1 draw by Masvingo at home at Motor Action Sports Club.
