adminIn another match Tripple B will begin life under an interim coach after they sacked Friday Phiri yesterday, just 24 hours before they host CAPS United at Mandava.
Phiri had managed just two wins in 10 starts and the Tripple B management became impatient with the veteran coach and gave him the boot just before he faced the team he featured for during his playing career.
There are no changes however in the dressing rooms of Bosso and Monoz.
But the Bulawayo giants were left nursing a bruised ego after back to back defeats by Biggie Zuze’s men and today they will arrive at Rufaro for the two sides’ first league meeting in 2013 hoping to stop Monoz from making it a hat-trick of wins over them.
In September last year, a hat-trick by Osborne Mukuradare condemned Highlanders to their only defeat of the season in the league and the result ultimately cost Bosso the championship when they were piped by Dynamos on goal difference.
To show that their win had not been a fluke result, Monoz were once again Highlanders’ nemesis when they bundled them out of the Mbaba Diamonds after their clash on netural soil at the Colliery in November.
Mukuradare, who is now at Harare City, defender Hillary Mugoniwa and Rusell Madamombe who has since crossed the floor to join Dynamos scored a goal each as Monoz staged a dramatic come back to dump Bosso out of the premier knock-out competition.
Early in that season, Highlanders had thumped Monoz 3-0 during a league match at Barbourfields but the tables turned on Kelvin Kaindu’s men.
