Sinomine-owned Bikita Minerals has introduced monthly performance bonuses as the Masvingo-based lithium firm pulls all the stops to remain the country’s top producer.

In a statement, the company said it is paying its workers a monthly bonus on top of the usual 13th cheque that is paid at the end of the year.

”Bikita Minerals recognises its employees as the driving force behind its success and to foster a culture of excellence, the company rewards its more than 1 000 workers with monthly production bonuses, a mid- year bonus and 13th cheque,” said the company in a statement.

“Bikita Minerals remains committed to the welfare of its employees and is paying well above the stipulated NEC rates. In addition, the best employees are awarded individual prizes in December and more than 20 employees are sent to China for a week-long experience.’
