Upcoming musician Potifa Mopo is set to launch his second album titled “Ndega Zvangu” at City Sports Bar next week.
Potifa is the son of Mike Mopo who is known for his yesteryear hits such as “Chido”, “Huya Titambe” and “Tozvireva Kunani”.
In an interview Potifa said all was set for the album launch.
“All is set for the album  launch and we have finalised everything with my recording stable Diamond Studios,” he said
“As artists we work to improve and I hope people will love my second project.”

The musician said he has the blessing of his father who has been assisting him to record all the albums.
“He has been helping me throughout and without his assistance I cannot go anywhere,” he said.

Potifa is on a mission to revive his father’s legacy and says he took up music after realising that Mike was no longer interested in the industry.
“Like any other son of a legend, it’s my obligation to carry on with the legacy left by my father and I am happy to have taken this decision while he is still alive so that he leads the way.

“After Zinawa (his father’s group) took a seven-year sabbatical I decided to revive the group.”
Potifa said he started music in 2003 when he joined Zinawa as a backing vocalist and featured on a six-track album titled “MbiraDzakondo”. The musician has released videos for his debut album “Runyararo”. However, it remains to be seen whether or not Potifa will be able to fit in his father’s big shoes.
