More local and regional organisations have congratulated President Mnangagwa, following his re-election for another term of office.

President of the Pan-African Organisation for Women (PAWO) Madam Eunice IIpinge delivered her congratulatory message during the PAWO Regional Conference for Southern Africa in Luanda, Angola, recently. Zimbabwe is a member of PAWO.

Madam IIpinge lauded women, specifically the ZANU PF Women’s League, for its efforts in winning votes for President Mnangagwa and ZANU PF. PAWO is headquartered in Luanda, and is a specialised agency of the African Union that mobilises women on the continent and in the Diaspora to unite around collective struggles for a free and prosperous Africa.

Geo Pomona (Private) Limited CEO and executive chairman Mr Dilesh Nguwaya, management and staff, have also joined the nation in congratulating President Mnangagwa on his election.

Mr Nguwaya said the President’s re-election will see him advance his mission of transforming Zimbabwe into an empowered upper middle income society by 2030.

“The first half of his tenure has positioned Zimbabwe as a highly investment friendly nation. In fervent reciprocation to this enabling environment, we pledge to play our part in contributing to national economic growth,” he said.

Zimbabwean businessman and president of the Zimbabwe African National Congress (ZANC) party, Mr Timothy Mncube, also congratulated President Mnangagwa on his re-election.

Mr Mncube had wanted to contest the presidency, opted out at the last minute but had a couple of candidates for National Assembly.

Special Advisor on National Disability Issues, Dr Joshua Malinga, also applauded the President for his resounding victory.

“We are proud to continue the good work of respecting, advocating, promoting and protecting the rights of persons with disabilities under his astute leadership,” he said.

“The Office of the Special Advisor on National Disability Issues echoes His Excellency the President’s inclusivity mantra of ‘leaving no person and no place behind’, as we aspire to realise Vision 2030 towards a prosperous and empowered upper-middle income society.”

Managing director of Bikita Minerals (Pvt) Limited Mr Wang Zhen Hua also conveyed his congratulatory message. We are inspired by your astute and mature leadership as well as your vision for the country,” he said.

“The people of Zimbabwe have full confidence and trust in your leadership as you march forward in your agenda to lead the country to attain upper middle income status by 2030 and leaving no one and no place behind.”
