More medals for Zim Sarpcco team

Chiefs Corporation Organisation Games yesterday.
The gold medalist in the men 1 500m, Cephas Pasipamire, came home second in the finals of the men’s 10 000m.
He clocked 20:53:15 to take silver.
In the 3 000m women finals, Zimbabwe claimed silver and bronze medals.
Faith Sanyika romped home in second place in a time of 10:53:71 while Philipa Chiwore was third clocking 11:04:05.
Zimbabwe collected more medals in the men’s triple jump finals when Solomon Chisango scooped gold with a jump of 13:87m.
Another Zimbabwean, Tapiwa Madzorere, won a silver medal with a leap of 13:79m.
In the 800m men’s heats, Trust Chidomaya, who won silver in the men’s 1 500m finals, qualified for the finals slated for tomorrow.
Lot Masiyachengo and Luckson Mhara also qualified for the men’s 800m finals.
Veteran sprint queen Gaily Dube qualified for the women’s 200m finals with Zimbabwean Costa Matingwena also making it into the men’s 200m finals.
Meanwhile, in the men`s volleyball match yesterday, Zimbabwe lost to rivals South Africa 3-2 in a thrilling tie at the Joseph Kabila Kabange Stadium.
Zimbabwe, who won their opening encounter against Zambia, yesterday failed to make it two in a row as they fell to South Africa in the fifth set.
South Africa won the opening two sets before Zimbabwe won the third and fourth sets, to leave the score tied at 2-2.
Zimbabwe, powered by centre blocker Deas Sakala, setter Farai Gumi, attacker Tendai Matema and utility player Shingirai Sharare, won the third set 25-20 and were victorious 25-18 in the fourth set.
It was the fifth set that was left to decide the match and a tense encounter went the South Africans’ way.
Winston Thompson, the Zimbabwe coach, felt they lost the plot in the opening two sets and the marathon drained his players.
