Rising Zim dancehall musician Mostaffy Mutiwa, popularly known as Mostaff, was Monday ordered to pay US$100 per month towards the upkeep of his child. Baby mama Tafadzwa Pindu was claiming $140 towards the maintenance of their minor child.
Mostaff did not show up at the court.
Harare Civil Court magistrate Ms Gamuchirai Siwardi passed the judgment in default ordering Mostaff to contribute US$100 per month towards his child. In her application Pindi claimed the musician was neglecting his child.
“He is not providing towards the welfare of his minor child and he does not buy food, clothes or pay medical bills for her,” reads Pindi’s application.
“He is a musician and earns about $300 per month which means he is able to contribute the $140 for his child’s upkeep,” read Pindi’s application.
Mostaff is the second Zim dancehall artiste to be sued over maintenance this year after his fellow artiste Albert Chirozva aka Muffcat was also taken to court last month by his wife, Alice Chitombo, who was claiming $390 towards the upkeep of their two children.
Magistrate Mr Trevor Nyatsanza ordered Muffcat to pay $80 per month towards the upkeep of his two children.
