BULAWAYO based philanthropy organisation, Mothers of Special Heroes (MOSH), are today hosting a Bridging The Gap seminar under the theme “Educators and Experts on Neurodevelopmental Conditions”.
The event seeks to promote awareness on need to understand Neurodevelopmental conditions.
Neurodevelopmental conditions are a group of disorders that affect brain development and function, typically manifesting in childhood and often persisting into adulthood.
These conditions can impact various aspects of an individual’s life, including cognition, behavior, social skills, and motor function.
The event has attracted people from across sectors that include health, arts, culture, science and technology.
Among the speakers are Dr Farzana Naeem – State Licensed Principal Clinical Psychologist, Founder of Gateway Mental Health, Vimbai Chironga – Child Rights Advocate and Inclusive Educator, Dr E Musesengwe Makiwa – PhD in Inclusive Education , Co-Authored books, Stephanie Saiyad- Founder of Helping Hands Montessori, Lorraine Shaw – Founder of Purple Turtle Nursery, Springboard Training for Life & The Parent Academy Educator and Tafadzwa Chitandara- Counselor (Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals , Disability Specialist).
MOSH founder Ms Chantelle Shangare who is the MegaFest 2025 Outstanding Humanitarian Woman of the Year said there is need for the community to scale up appreciation of people with Neurodevelopmental conditions.
