Motorists decry state of roads in Kadoma

Although some residents sympathised with the council’s financial woes, motorists insist it should have repaired the roads long before the onset of the rains. Motorists also complained of the manner the roads were being repaired.

“In most places they cover potholes with gravel instead of filling up and compacting the holes with gravel and then covering them with a firm surface of tar.

“The gravel must be tarred so that it does not get washed away by the rains. This is not a long-term solution to the problem of potholes,’’ said a resident, Mr Shepherd Munetsi.
