adminLONDON. — Chelsea gaffer Jose Mourinho will be the next manager of Paris St-Germain, according to former France international David Ginola. The Special One’s future at Stamford Bridge is in major doubt as a result of the Blues’ nightmare start to the season. Chelsea are currently languishing in 16th place in the table and are three points above the relegation zone.
The reigning English Premier League champions’ poor form has forced the club’s owner, Roman Abramovich, to contemplate sacking the Portuguese. PSG are understood to be keen on snapping up Mourinho – who is in his second spell in charge of the west Londoners. And Ginola, who spent three years playing for Chelsea’s London rivals Tottenham, reckons the former Inter Milan chief will take charge of the Ligue 1 champions if Abramovich decides to give him the boot.
“I can also see Mourinho as the next manager of the team,” he told BT Sport. “So I think there’s going to be a lot of Portuguese in Paris.” And Real Madrid hitman Cristiano Ronaldo will join Paris St-Germain in the near future, according to Ginola. Ronaldo’s future at the Bernabeu is currently up in the air as he’s believed to not be enjoying life under new Real chief Rafael Benitez.
The Portugal star has been linked with a big-money move back to Manchester United in recent months. United chief Louis van Gaal is said to be a big admirer of the 30-year-old and has allegedly contemplated splashing out £80m to lure him back to Old Trafford.
PSG also hold an interest in signing Real’s all-time leading goalscorer and are understood to be willing to break the bank to snap up the three-time Ballon d’Or winner.
And Ginola reckons the Parisians will land their man. “I see Ronaldo being in Paris next year,” he told BT Sport. Because they have the money and in terms of the challenge to win the Champions League. — The Daily Star.
