Mourinho worried

LONDON. — Jose Mourinho has admitted the absences of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Bastian Schweinsteiger from Manchester United’s pre-season tour of China is a source of frustration.

The English Premier League soccer club are scheduled to jet off for a tour of the Far East next week where they are due to face Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City in two International Champions Cup fixtures.

Mourinho has granted the likes of Ibrahimovic and Schweinsteiger extended breaks following their exploits at Euro 2016, but England flops Wayne Rooney, Chris Smalling and Marcus Rashford will form part of the touring party, though they are unlikely to feature in any of the matches.

The former Chelsea boss revealed pre-season tours such as the one United are embarking on provide a crucial opportunity to build team spirit ahead of a gruelling campaign and he’ll be hampered by the absences of several key figures. — Metro.
