Moyo releases second anthology

BULAWAYO born motivational speaker, Njabulo Moyo is set to release his second anthology titled Sketches from My Soul in September.
Moyo (26) is a motivational speaker who uses poetry to win the hearts and minds of his targeted audience. Sketches from My Soul will feature Keith Mpata, a Mzilikazi High School pupil.

The book uses poetry to educate and empower the African youths. It gives a voice to the voiceless, talks of gender imbalances in a male dominated society. The youths are encouraged to take a stand and grab opportunities that come their way in order for them to realise their dreams.

In an interview, Moyo said he was driven by the desire to motive people to do something about their lives.
“In order for me to say I have done a good job, I have to change lives. When I speak I want to touch the inner person and hear people saying they have changed their attitude towards a certain subject,” he said.

Born in Mzilikazi, Moyo grew up under the guidance of his grandmother from the age of five after he lost both parents.
He did his primary education at Lobengula Primary School before proceeding to Mzilikazi High School.

Moyo said the different influential positions he held at school and the hard life he endured inspired him to take up motivational speaking as a career.
“I had a number of influential positions at school and these helped me develop my motivational talent. I was appointed prefect and later headboy so I was forced to be responsible at a tender age,” said Moyo.

Through hard work and perseverance, Moyo has risen from the dusty streets of Mzilikazi and is now a renowned motivational speaker. He has toured countries such as Denmark, Sweden and Lebanon where he conducted a number of motivational workshops with the youths.
Moyo said he was committed to helping the youths gain confidence in whatever they do.

“My job is to bring hope to the hopeless, to build dreams and vision. This generation needs a few people to show it the way. Everyday I work hard and I have a deep desire to build visions and create dreams.

“I want to help my brothers and sisters on the African continent first,” said Moyo.
He is already working on his third book which will be titled Motivating The Inner Soul set to be published next year.
