MP decries poor state of roads

MAKONI North remains the poorest constituency in Manicaland in terms of road infrastructural development despite it being one of the province’s economic hubs, Member of Parliament for the area has said.

Cde Francis Muchenje said his constituency is the only area without tarred roads in Manicaland with an estimated accumulative 700 kilometres of dust roads. Motorists in Makoni North are facing serious challenges in as far as road infrastructure development is concerned. There is poor road network since this constituency does not have a tarred road,” he said.

Cde Muchenje pegged his hopes on the new dispensation saying President Mnangagwa’s economic drive would also bring positive change to his constituency.
