Warren Park Member of Parliament (MP) Shakespear Hamauswa (MDC-A) has been arrested for allegedly driving against the flow of traffic.

In a statement on micro-blogging site Twitter yesterday, the Zimbabwe Republic Police said “police officers on patrol observed him driving along Jason Moyo Avenue and turning right into Mayor Urimbo (former Innez Terrace) towards George Silundika Avenue thus driving against one way.”

Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest. “I can confirm that MP for Warren Park constituency, Honourable Shakespear Hamauswa, was arrested for driving against the flow of traffic,” he said.

He added that investigations are continuing.
