Kuwanda”.
The 32-year-old singer, composer and songwriter, who is scheduled to curtain raise for Oliver Mtukudzi and Suluman Chimbetu scheduled for Kadoma on August 19.

The gig dubbed “The Big 2 Live in Concert” will see the young Mpofu unleashing his jiti rhythms like what his father used to do.
The album “Mabasa Kuwanda” is full of social issues and Mpofu says men who sleep with people’s wives inspired the title track.

The Chitungwiza-based singer started off as a doorman when his father the late Mpofu used to stage live shows.
However, he says music was an inborn thing and when he left his job as a doorman he joined Zambuko, a band which is backing him now.

“I used to travel a lot with my father taking care of the gate takings but I then later decided to play drums for the group,” he said.
Bruce has shared the stage with other upcoming musicians such as the Dembos – Tendai and Morgan – and Suluman among others.

He is also billed to perform at Heroes Gala scheduled for Mt Darwin. Plans are afoot to release his first DVD later this year.
