Mpofu, Zimuto for World Champs

MARATHON runners Isaac Mpofu and Tendai Zimuto have booked their place at the forthcoming World Athletics Championships.

The meet is due to take place from September 13 to 21 in Tokyo, Japan.

The two distance runners qualified through World Rankings.

For Zimuto, it will be his first appearance at the World Championships.

Mpofu has been to the global meet before and represented the country at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

They join Tapiwanashe Makarawu, Makanakaishe Charamba and Vimbayi Maisvorewa, who have also qualified for the championships.
