Muscle Mania Africa in September in Uganda when they take part in the Mr and Ms Iron Man contest at Ochi City on August 6.
The Mr and Ms Iron Man contest, which was last held in 2008, returns to the local bodybuilding scene with a category for the disabled being introduced.
Mashonaland Bodybuilding and Fitness Association chairman Tafara Moyo said they will have four categories which will also include the senior men, women and juniors.
“The registration fee is US$10 and we are expecting 15 participants from Botswana to take part.
“The defending champion is Isaac “Sugar” Chimuchenga in the seniors and Christine Mutange is the women’s defending champion.
“The contestants will have to meet the challenge of 2010 former Mr Novice Eddie Marondera, Zumailer Eusen-Maman and Spencer Bhauti among several others.
“There are also fantastic prices with a Toyota vehicle as the main prize. “There are eight people who have registered for the disability category so far with two being women,” Moyo said. The Mr and Ms Ironman will have winners getting the opportunity to represent the country in the Muscle Mania in Uganda.
“The winners at the Mr and Mrs Ironman will take part in the Muscle mania to be held in Uganda.
“The two winners of the contest will have an opportunity to rub shoulders with Africa’s best athletes,” Moyo said.
