Mr and Ms Ironman dates set

THE dates for the 2016 Mr and Ms Ironman have been set and the event will be held on August 27 at the Long Cheng Plazza with over 70 athletes expected to take part. The event is one of the most prestigious on the National Federation of Zimbabwe Bodybuilding and Fitness calendar. Last year the the event was held at the Odyssey in Kadoma September 5 and Champion Chienderamwano emerged as the champion.He will not participate in this year’s event as he has since retired from the sport. A galaxy of top bodybuilders will battle to take his title.

Some of the top athletes expected at the event include Gweru-based athlete Isaac “Sugar Sugar” Chimuchenga who came second last year.

NFZBBF spokesperson, Quiet Shingai, confirmed that the show will be held at the end of this month.

“The preparations are underway and 60% of the ground has been covered,” said Shingai.
