THE Mr and Ms Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Bodybuilding and Fitness Open contest has been cancelled forthwith.
The event was scheduled to take place at the ZITF grounds in Bulawayo in April.
National Federation of Zimbabwe Bodybuilding and Fitness confirmed the development after confirmation with the organisers.
“The organisers of ZITF Open Bodybuilding and Fitness competition have informed the NFZBBF Executive Council that the 2022 edition of the said competition will not take place due to circumstances beyond their control.
“On behalf of ZITF Open bodybuilding and fitness event organisers, NFZBBF sincerely apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused and would like to thank you for your support towards improving all bodybuilding and fitness programmes,” stated Quiet Shangai, the association’s secretary-general.
It is the second year time the event was cancelled after the 2020 edition was also cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
