Mr & Miss Little Byo a hit

THE second edition of the Little Miss and Mr Bulawayo has received an overwhelming response from youngsters wishing to take to the ramp. The show, which is pencilled in to take place at Bulawayo Theatre on April 12, will run under the theme Catch Them Young. The event is aimed at scouting for untapped talent at a tender age. The show is targeting boys and girls from the ages of 4 to 12. The youngsters will battle it out in the casual, ethnic and evening wear categories.
Organiser of the event, Amanda Mtangadura, said they initially wanted to register 40 children, but the number has since trebled.

“We have gone to schools scouting for aspiring models willing to take part in the modelling show. So many kids have shown interest, we’ve had cases where the whole class stands up when we ask them who wants to contest,” Mtangadura said.

“We have therefore resolved to take five models from each school to meet our target. However, we might be forced to add five more in each school.”
Mtangadura said other than the beauty show, there would also be a talent show for singing, dance and poetry.

“Judges will select the best stalls and best performers in events like singing, quiz, poetry, dance and modelling,” said Mtangadura.
