Mrs Reza to be buried in Musana on Friday

THE wife of Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) chairperson Mr Michael Reza, Mrs Chipo Reza, will be buried at the family’s rural home in Musana, Chavhunduka Village in Bindura District on Friday.

She was 63.

Mrs Reza collapsed at her home on Sunday afternoon and was rushed to the Borrowdale Trauma Centre, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Family spokesperson Mr Owen Ranga Reza, who is a brother to the ZACC chairperson, confirmed the burial arrangements.

“Mrs C Reza will be buried in Musana, Chavhunduka Village, on Friday, July 17, in the afternoon,” Mr Owen said.

The Reza family’s rural homestead is located about a kilometre from Rutope High School, which is 51km from Harare along the Shamva Road.

Mrs Reza is survived by her husband, Mr Reza, four children, and 11 grandchildren.

She was also a well-known and highly respected leader within the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe.

At the time of her death, Mrs Reza was attending Trinity Circuit of the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe, where she served as a church steward.

She also served as Ruwadzano Chairwoman and as a steward for the 11 am service at Southerton Fellowship, MCZ.

Superintendent of the MCZ Trinity Circuit, Reverend Nkulumo Zhira, said a church service will be held tomorrow at 10 am at Trinity Church in the CBD.

“The body will then be taken to their Glen Lorne home and stay briefly before departing for the rural home,” Rev Zhira said.

Mourners are gathered at the Reza family residence in Glen Lorne, Harare.
