The Warriors technical team has confirmed that Daniel Msendami has joined the squad to replace Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya, who is still recovering from an injury.
“We salute Thandolwenkosi for his commitment and wish him a strong recovery. His spirit remains with us. At the same time, we warmly welcome Daniel. His energy, determination, and team spirit will inject fresh life into the Warriors as we gear up for the Lesotho showdown. This is what makes our Warriors unbreakable: when one falls, another rises for the flag,” Zifa said in a statement.
Head coach Michael Nees has urged his players to channel the same resilience and determination that carried them through a gruelling goalless draw against South Africa just three days ago.
The Warriors currently top the log standings with five points from nine games. Benin lead the table with 17 points, two ahead of second-placed [team name]. Nigeria are third with 14 points, while Rwanda and Lesotho occupy fourth and fifth positions with 11 and nine points respectively.
