HIGH flying Bulawayo Social Soccer team Man U are set to host Fundukulinda this morning at their favourite Emakhandeni hunting ground.
Man U, who sit on the apex of the log after accumulating a total of 12 points from four games are expected to once again add Fundukulinda to a list of victims they have hammered to date.
On the other hand it will be interesting to see how “Funda”, as they are affectionately known by their legion of fans, will rise to the occasion considering that the two teams won their last matches resoundingly.
However, the fact that Man U are yet to taste defeat in four games and went on to score 24 goals in the process to sit at the apex of the log while Funda lost twice and scored a paltry two goals might tilt the scales in favour of Man U.
Second-placed Mthala who have the same number of points but an inferior goal difference will be praying for their downfall so that they can get a taste of the sunshine at the top of the log if they manage to collect maximum points against tricky FC Stars, the reigning champions.
The game pitting FC Stars against Mthala comes along with a lot of fireworks since these two are sworn enemies in the contested terrain of football.
Whoever wins this one will definitely walk away with the bragging rights, especially taking into consideration that FC Stars beat Mthala to the cake last season on their way to being crowned the champions of champion of Bulawayo social soccer.
In pool B the group pacesetters Mayihlome are away to Gwabalanda at Masina Ground.
Mayihlome are expected to come out guns blazing in order to keep up with the pace they have set to date which has seen them seat comfortably on top of the log standing.
Outside there are a number of games from the fixtures that are likely to leave followers of social soccer with something to talk about especially considering the number of goals scored during some matches to date.
