Muchechetere named Chef de Mission

the acting Chef de Mission for Team Zimbabwe to the All-Africa Games in Mozambique.
Yesterday he left for Maputo to attend a meeting in this capacity.
This will be the first meeting by the Chef de Missions of the 10th All-Africa Games and will run from today until tomorrow.
The meeting in Maputo is in line with the official preparatory meetings of the Games to run from September 3-18.
On Tuesday, the Sports Commission held a meeting with some of the sports associations who will send athletes to Maputo.
The Judo Association of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Taekwondo Union, the canoeing and kayaking association, the netball association, the Basketball Union of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Table Tennis Association, the Zimbabwe Paralympic Committee, the Zimbabwe Sports Medicine Association and the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee were some of the affiliates which were represented.
The meeting, held at the SRC boardroom, was meant to present progress reports and issues on preparations. The reports presented on Tuesday will form part of the dossier that will be presented by Muchechetere in Maputo.
During the meeting in Maputo, Muchechetere is expected to gather more information on the qualifying times for athletes in the 26 disciplines that will be on offer in Maputo as well as the accreditation of the delegates.
