SCHWEPPES Holdings Africa Limited has announced the appointment of Mr Stanley Muchenje as its new managing director, effective May 1, 2025.

Mr Muchenje succeeds Mr Charles Nkululeko Msipa, who retired at the end of April after a remarkable 20-year tenure with the company.

In a statement yesterday, the company said: “The Board of Schweppes Holdings Africa Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Stanley M Muchenje as the managing director of Schweppes Holdings Africa Limited effective May 1, 2025.”

Mr Muchenje joined Delta Beverages in 1997, where he held senior roles in sales, distribution and marketing.

He has several academic and professional qualifications, including a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honours) degree, IMM (SA), Master of Philosophy in Marketing, and an Accelerated Leadership Development Programme (SAB Miller/Gordon Institute).

Before his new role, Mr Muchenje served as the managing director of African Distillers since 2021. The board, management, and staff of Schweppes Holdings Africa Limited congratulated Mr Muchenje on his appointment and wished him success in his new role.
