Muchenje takes the reins at Schweppes, succeeds retired Msipa

Schweppes Holdings Africa Limited has announced the appointment of seasoned executive, Mr Stanley Muchenje, as its new managing director effective 1 May, 2025.

Mr Muchenje steps into the role following the retirement of Mr Charles Msipa, who concluded a 20-year tenure with the company at the end of April 2025.

The new MD brings a wealth of experience to Schweppes, having most recently served as managing director of African Distillers (Afdis), a Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE)-listed beverage giant, since 2021.

His career began at Delta Beverages in 1997, where he ascended through senior roles in sales, distribution, and marketing.

A decorated academic and professional, Mr Muchenje holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honors), an IMM (SA) qualification, a Master’s in Philosophy (Marketing), and credentials from the SAB Miller/Gordon Institute’s Accelerated Leadership Development Programme.
