It is just nine days away from Valentine’s Day and gospel hip-hop musician Mudiwa Mtandwa has released a love song dubbed, “Luv yaSolo”. The single features upcoming artist Denzel.
Mudiwa said love is for everyone and should be given every day.

The Zim hip-hop big award winner said he penned the song not because it’s Valentine season.

“I don’t believe in Valentine. I believe in Christ and as a human being I experience love. I wrote the song based on the book of Songs of Solomon. Christians also are into love life so we shouldn’t ignore it,” he said.

The “10 /10” hit-maker said he does not regret his past but looks forward to spreading the word of God through music.

“I am now committed to God. I have a beautiful girlfriend named Karen and we are planning something serious, which I will let you know soon. My song is type of music that Christians can play at anytime.

“While the world is busy celebrating Valentine, let us promote love in a moral way as written in the book of Songs of Solomon,” he said.

However, fans have raised questions over his single, saying it is a sign Mudiwa has shifted from his genre.

Mudiwa said all the negative and positive comments are a stepping stone.

“I am overwhelmed by the general response. People understand and need love. I am surprised by some of the comments but this gives me the strength to make sure the single reaches out to people.”
