Mudzi man found dead in a mountain

The body of a 44-year-old man who was last seen in the company of his girlfriend was found in a mountain in Mudzi.

Innocent Chisero is believed to have been attacked with stones by two unknown assailants.

Police have since launched investigations into the case.

National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.

“Police in Nyamapanda are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of murder in which

Innocent Chisero aged 44 was found dead on a mountain near Mutsenhu Village, Nyamukoho in Mudzi on October 14, 2024.

“The victim was last seen in the company of his girlfriend on October 9, 2024, and was allegedly attacked with stones by two

unknown suspects,” he said.

“The motive appears to be related to accusations of an affair with a married woman. Anyone with information that might assist

with investigations should contact the nearest police station.”

Meanwhile, police in Harare are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of a male suspect only identified as Tino

who is wanted in connection with a murder case that occurred at Amalinda Shops in Glen View 1 on October 16.

The suspect struck Simbarashe Kasande (28) with a sharp object once on the chest and twice on the stomach after a

misunderstanding.

Kasande was taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital where he passed on while receiving treatment.
