following a domestic row over infidelity allegations.
A source close to the young couple said Mugovera eloped to the talented footballer sometime last year.
She has been living with Mukamba at his grandmother’s house in Lusaka, Highfield, since then.
The DeMbare midfielder reportedly deserted her for another flame.
Mukamba also scooped the Dynamos Football Club Player of the Year Award last year.
He netted US$10 000 for both accolades.
He is reported to be co-habiting with his mistress at her residence in Waterfalls.
According to the source, Mukamba, who turned 20 in December, is alleged to have started the affair accusing Mugovera of barrenness.
The source said the altercation erupted when Mugovera confiscated Mukamba’s phone sometime this week after suspecting him of cheating on her with the Waterfalls woman.
The identity of the other woman in the love triangle could not be veri-fied.
On Wednesday, Mukamba is said to have visited his grandmother in Highfield whereupon Mugovera seized his car keys to prevent him from leaving.
This did not go down well with Mukamba who then severely assaulted Mugovera.
Neighbours said Mugovera sustained serious injuries which made it difficult for her to move.
She collapsed on Thursday night and Mukamba rushed her to Harare Central Hospital with the help of a friend identified as Tinashe Masika.
Ironically, upon examination, the sources said, medical staff at the hospital declared Mugovera three months pregnant.
Neighbours said Mukamba had settled for his Waterfalls woman whom he formally introduced to his grandmother Mrs Christina Kawinga before the incident.
Mrs Kawinga is said to have blessed the couple’s union.
The woman is reportedly pregnant.
Mukamba is scheduled to pay lobola for the Waterfalls woman today.
The lanky midfielder is engaged in contractual negotiations with South African Absa Premiership side Bidvest Wits.
Mugovera yesterday refused to talk to The Herald while Mukamba’s phone was not reachable last night.
