A HARARE woman has been granted a protection order against her daughter who has been verbally and physically abusing her.

Enia Nyandowe applied for a protection order against her daughter, Paddington Kadzengere, at the Harare Civil Court.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted her application.

Enia told the court that Paddington was in the habit of coming to her house where she abused her, together with the other children.

“She threatens to beat everyone and there is nothing we can do to her.

“She no longer has respect for me.

“The children are no longer safe and afraid of her,” Enia said.

Paddington was not in court, and magistrate Chibindi granted the protection order in default.
