The Munch & Sip food festival organisers have unveiled a stellar line-up of artistes, promising a fusion of great music, delectable food and refreshing drinks on Sunday.
Headlining the New Year’s Eve event is Busta 929 from South Africa who will be complemented by performances from renowned acts — Travellers Band, Bhila, Mandie Mae, Tsepiso, Brintz and an electric dance act featuring Sekunjalo Ma Afrika and Asante Mo. On the decks will be an array of talented DJs that include DJ Ash T, DJ Keezy, DJ Teflon and DJ Wellyonz.
Leslie Abrahams, the stage manager for Munch & Sip said it is all systems go while expressing excitement about the festival’s growth and the diverse talent on display.
“The Munch and Sip Food and Drink Festival has become one of Bulawayo’s most popular events and with the expansion this year, we’re thrilled to host it at Queens Sports Club on New Year’s Eve.”
“We are confident that Bulawayo will enjoy the artistes that we have lined up for this year’s event.”
In a significant partnership, local car rental company Better Drive Car Rental has joined forces with the festival, providing transport for the visiting South African artiste and supporting local performers.
Better Drive’s Chief Executive, Dyke Tawanda emphasised the company’s commitment to social development through the arts and highlighted the tourism value the festival adds to the city.
