Munetsi open to permanent move

MARSHALL Munetsi struggled to carve out a place for himself after making the move to English Premiership football club Wolverhampton Wanderers but he has had no such problems since joining Paris FC on loan back in January.

The Zimbabwe international joined Les Parisiens to aid their bid to stave off relegation back to French Ligue 2.

He has been key to Antoine Kombouaré’s side edging away from the relegation places, with his four goals in 11 games in Ligue 1 guiding Paris FC slowly up the table. The club currently sit 13th and nine points ahead of the relegation place with just six games remaining in the league.

Naturally, thoughts will begin to drift towards planning for next season.

Munetsi only joined the club on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but speaking after netting a goal in a 1-1 draw against FC Lorient over the weekend, he opened the door to remaining at the Stade Jean Bouin next season. “I feel good here alongside some players that I know. We get on well and you see that on the pitch. You can’t buy this atmosphere; it’s there, or it isn’t. I came for six months and I am focused on the six games remaining.

“We will see what discussions are had at the end of the season. There is a great project here. My family like it here in Paris. My two boys were born in France. It is also my country a bit,” said Munetsi. – getfootballnewsfrance.com
