Munya, Stunner in duet

who have launched their music careers.
Angolan Tatiana Durao and Kenyan Sheila Kwambuka have all set their sights on the mainstream music scene in their countries.
And our very own Munya or simply the “Diamond Boy” to his fans says he just loves music.
“First and foremost, I’m an entertai-ner and I’m building an entertainment empire.
“Basically, I want to use every me-dium that God created and music is one of them,” he said.
The hugely talented film and television actor has collaborated with one of the most prominent urban musicians at the moment – Stunner.
The song “Lover Boy” premiered to critical acclaim at the Miss Zimbabwe contest held early this month after Munya and Stunner put on a dazzling performance at the pageant.
According to the Diamond Boy, his company would shoot the video of the new single, Ivory Pictures in conjunction with Decent Arthouse.
“There is going to be the release of my mix-tape later in the year and we are working on pre-production of my next film,” he said.
Asked how “Lobola” was doing on the market, The Diamond Boy said it was selling fast.
“The DVD is doing well on the streets, but at the moment we don’t have the actual figures of how many copies sold this far. We are hoping to release the figures in three months time,” he said.
Stunner said he was equally excited about the single and the Diamond Boy’s capabilities.
“To be honest, I was impressed by his talent and when he (Munya) approached me I thought he was joking but later, I realised that he is versatile,” Stunner said. He said this year he would compile his latest singles into an album.
“I’m going to do a lot of singles with my friends and see how it works,” he said.
The Diamond Boy endeared himself well to audiences across Southern Africa after he finished second in a hotly-contested Big Brother series dubbed “All Stars”.
This was his second attempt at winning the grand prize of US$200 000 but he was rewarded for representing Zim-babwe well in the reality series by a group of local businessmen who raised US$300 000 as his prize.
Munya left the reality show after a gruelling 91-day stay.
He has been living it up dining with the who’s who of Harare including Pre-sident Mugabe with whom he shared a cup of tea.
He was also named as the Goodwill Ambassador by an Indian Diamond firm. His acting career reached its all time high soon after the release of his feature film titled “Lobola”.
He has been touring Africa to promote his film.
Lobola centres on a young man, Sean Muza (played by Munya) who connives to come back home from America on vacation with his two brothers, after a power squabble with his rich father (played by Joe Pike).
Things take a new twist when he accidentally stumbles on information that his father was keeping a secret, leading Sean to make a rushed decision to prove his dad wrong.
