Munyamana, Lunga lift Mr Bulawayo titles

Munyamana who trains at The Gym shrugged off stiff competition from 13 other contestants to clinch his first ever title.

His closest rivals were former Mr Bulawayo junior and gym mate Peter Wenceslaus who came second this time around and Michael Alimu who trains at Body Active was third.

In the juniors category only three contestants turned up as others according to MBBA chairman Tendayi Chaipa chickened out at the last minute. Lunga who trains at Body Active was crowned the champion.

The Gym came third. “The tournament was a great event and it also got us on the map. We also got potential sponsors who after watching our competitions pledged to assist with prizes in future.”

Chaipa said the MBBA was planning to host Mr Trade Fair at the end of September and Mr Matabeleland in early November.

Marko Mwale who was recently crowned Mr Muscle Mania Wheelchair division champion in Harare was the competition’s judge along with former Miss Zimbabwe Charity Juma, bodybuilder Simon Gama and Fabian Ndoro who is a legend in the weightlifting circles.

Reigning Mr Zimbabwe Givemore Marume also attended the event.
