A ROW between Harare dealer Munyaradzi Chauraya’s second wife and his girlfriend has spilled into the courts after the lover sent insulting text messages.
Ilda Nyatanga, 23, was not asked to plead when she appeared before Harare magistrate Tafadzwa Miti,
She was remanded to October 27 for trial commencement.
The State, represented by Nomsa Kangara, applied for a postponement on the basis that they are waiting for the forensic team to retrieve the offending messages from Taruwinga’s phone.
The phone was seized in another matter that is also before the courts.
She is accused of violating the Post and Telecommunications Act.
According to the State, Nyatanga is the girlfriend to complainant Natalie Taruwinga’s husband, Chauraya.
Allegations are that on June 18, Nyatanga sent insulting and obscene messages to Taruwinga.
Nyatanga allegedly accused Taruwinga of telling Chauraya that she had texted her, saying it was affecting her relationship with him.
Munya has already appeared in court facing allegations of assaulting Taruwinga.
He also faces allegations of exposing his manhood to Taruwinga’s toddler.
