Mupariwa in Zim A 22 member squad

Zimbabwe are scheduled to host the series from July 11-22.
The selectors decided to leave out many of the seasoned players, some of whom are in camp with the national team, to give others a chance.
Opening batsman Tino Mawoyo will captain the side, which is expected to go in camp next Tuesday.
Coach Stephen Mangongo welcomed the return of Mupariwa who had been grounded by injury for over a year.
“Tawanda had a bad injury and as a result, had an operation on his knee which saw him out of cricket for about 18 months.
“To come back to the highest level you need to go through intensive rehabilitation and training.
“He has been working with Heath Streak in Bulawayo and he has regained his fitness and that is why he has been recalled,” said Mangongo.
Chairman of selectors Givemore Makoni said the team is expected to begin preparations next week under the guidance of national team assistant coach Mangongo.
Makoni said he had confidence in the squad although the players would need to work hard since they are coming from the offseason break.
“The games will start mid July and the reason we have announced the squad early is to allow them time to call the players in camp and begin work immediately.
“The players are coming from offseason break and they have a lot of work to do.
“They would need to undergo fitness tests once they begin the preparations and the squad should be trimmed down to 15 at some stage before the series,” said Makoni.
Wicketkeeper/batsman Regis Chakabva, Chamu Chibhabha, Craig Ervine, Shingi Masakadza, Greg Lamb, Forster Mutizwa and Gavin Ewing have been drafted in while there are a number of inexperience players like Tatenda Manatsa, Greg Querl, Richmond Mutambami and unheralded young player Odicious Manje, who was playing in the U-17 team last year.
The outlook of the team shows the selectors have cast their nets wide and Zimbabwe Cricket are also happy with the new generation of bowlers that includes Manatsa and Querl who needed one only season to get recognition.
The duo joined the largely youthful brigade of Tino Mutombodzi, Natsai Mushangwe and Njabulo Ncube who have shown great promise.
“When you pick a team you look at things like form and current statistics.
“There are five franchises in Zimbabwe which give us over 60 players. That’s where we selected the 22.
“These are the guys who have done very well in the previous season and we want them to fight for places in the national team.
“Manatsa has taken a lot of wickets in the league and Querl has done the same.
“It is unfortunate that these are the only things we can go by apart from them being some of the fittest athletes in the country,” said Makoni.
He also revealed that Pakistaniborn batsman Sikander Raza Butt is now closer to regularising his citizenship documents, which will soon make him eligible for selection into the Zimbabwe national team.
“Butt has played in the Zimbabwe A team before and we have considered him again because his paperwork is about 70 percent sorted now. He is an exciting prospect and we need to monitor him continuously,” said Makoni.
Cricket South Africa have already named a squad of 24 players from which the touring side will be selected.
The side has four newcomers to South Africa A level in Highveld Lions batsman Temba Bavuma, Highveld Lions allrounder Chris Morris and two spin bowlers, Simon Harmer of the Warriors and Aaron Phangiso of the Highveld Lions.
