A cloakroom is currently under construction opposite Mupedzanhamo, where vendors operating inside Mupedzanhamo will store their wares at the end of each day.

The SMEs committee chairperson, Councillor Denford Ngadziore, said that the cloakroom being built will be similar to the one at Mbare Main Market, where any traveller can place their goods while waiting to board a bus.

“It’s a cloakroom that has existed previously. Vendors inside Mupedzanhamo leave their wares at the end of each day in the cloakroom,” he said.

Ward 4 Mbare Councillor, Mr Boniface Maburutse, also confirmed that they are establishing a warehouse for the vendors’ wares.

“We are working to improve the area so that people have a pleasant place to operate from,” he said.
