Murder attempt at beer drink

A MAN from Bulawayo allegedly stabbed a fellow patron on the neck with a knife following a misunderstanding while they were drinking beer.

Cephas Chikuda (27) of Mbokodo abattoir along Plumtree road allegedly stabbed Mr Kwenzakwenkosi Moyo of Emganwini suburb whose age was not revealed with a knife once on the neck.

The misunderstanding broke out at Odzi Supermarket in Emganwini suburb.

He was not asked to plead to attempted murder when he appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Ms Gladmore Mushove. 

Chikuda was remanded in custody to March 6.

Prosecuting, Mr Kenneth Shava said Chikuda stabbed Mr Moyo on Friday last week at around 9PM.

The cause of the misunderstanding was not stated in court.

The matter was reported to the police leading to Chikuda’s arrest. – @zinyuke98
