ANDY Muridzo, Iyasa, Chimurenga Choir and Blessing Shumba enthralled delegates to the Zanu-PF National People’s Conference in Masvingo at a gala held at Mucheke Stadium on Saturday.

The delegates braved the rains which pounded Masvingo the whole night to attend the gala.

First on the stage was Mbare Chimurenga Choir which took care of the appreciative audience from 8pm. Iyasa took over and showed off by changing costumes in sync with their choreography. They gave a scintillating performance that kept revellers on their feet.

They cleared the stage for Blessing Shumba who serenaded delegates with his gospel tunes. He sang songs Jesu Ndiye Mambo, Nhaka, Mapisarema and Mufaro among other danceable gospel tunes.

Muridzo took to the stage after midnight. His track, Derira proved very popular as well as his energetic vocalists and dancers. The dreadlocked artiste became the darling of the entertainment starved Masvingo fans who kept on chanting his name and singing along.

Muridzo proved beyond any reasonable doubt that he was on top of his game.

The show also saw up-and-coming artistes from Masvingo showcasing their talents. Simon Mutambi stole the limelight with his bass guitar playing skills.
