UPCOMING gospel musician Beauty Mushonjowa’s new release, “Chinamato Chiri Muheart”, is making waves, with the song “Rugare” making it into the top 10 of the gospel charts.
The Rusape-born singer has three albums to her name, namely “Tinemufaro”, “Pavanondigara “and the newly released “Chinamato Chiri Muheart”.
Mushonjowa, a sungura gospel artiste, said she was happy that her album was getting rave reviews and was hoping to made it into the gospel charts.
“I started singing is 2018 and was a bit affected by the Covid-19 but I am back now,” she said. “I have three albums including my recent release ‘Chinamato Chiri Muheart’ which carries the title track ‘Chinamato Chiri Muheart’ and ‘Rugare’ which are doing extremely well,” she said.
“Rugare is making waves on YouTube and I am looking forward to it in the weekly gospel upcoming top charts.
“I had the opportunity to work with renowned gospel artistes like Trymore Bande on the song ‘Anoti Tinebasa’, which has several views on YouTube as well.”
Speaking on her journey, Mushonjowa said she was grateful to her producer Makumbe Productions for pushing her.
“My journey was not an easy one, but my talent was identified way back when I was in Grade Three when we had a singing competition and my teacher chose me to be the leader,” she said.
“It was from that time that I discovered that singing was a calling and I would sing in church until in 2018 when I decided to record my first gospel album.
“I am grateful to my family for the support as they are always behind me. There are some challenges like finances, but as a widow I am not looking backwards. I continue working hard. There are a lot of people who have helped me to be where I am and I will continue working hard to thank them for their support.”
