Mushure appeals to fans

DYNAMOS fullback Ocean Mushure has appealed for patience from Glamour Boys’ fans following the team’s disappointing start to the season. The former champions played out to a dull goalless draw against struggling Hwange at the Colliery on Sunday. Mushure, one of the veterans of the DeMbare outfit that won the league title for four consecutive seasons (2011-2014), believes the Harare giants will soon find their groove.

“I would like to appeal for calm from our loyal supporters. This is a passing phase. We promise that we will do better in our next matches. “Of course, we have disappointed you (supporters), a lot especially by losing to our rivals CAPS United, but such is football. The team is still gelling and I think we will do our best to win the league.

“Dynamos have in the past proved to be slow starters who can actually bounce back and win critical acclaim. “It is not just this season that the team has struggled for form in the opening games.

“We struggled in the past seasons but we still bounced back to win the title. So who said we cannot repeat the act?” he said. Mushure, who was also part of the Monomotapa squad that lost four straight matches in the opening five games of the campaign in 2009 but still found the magic to win the title, believes the season is still green.
