The event that saw more than twenty artists performing started in the afternoon and ended on Saturday morning. Long queues outside the stadium characterised early hours of night as people waited patiently to pay to get inside the venue. Gospel musician Mathias Mhere took to the stage at around eight o’clock and the musician belted out songs from his current album “Nguva Yenyasha” before paving way for Sebastian Magacha.

Although the “Ridza Bosvo” hit maker found the bar set by Mhere too high, he tried his best to entertain the audience.
Shadreck Kwarire aka King Shady became the dancehall winner of the night after he sampled songs from his coming album “Endless Ideas”. Song “Vaimbi” in which the musician gives an interesting imagination of streets in the capital being named after musicians, was the popular hit of the night.

Mhondoro Choral group came after King Shaddy and performed before Sulumani Chimbetu took over.
Chimbetu introduced an ex-convict who was released during the presidential amnesty and could soon join Sulu. Sulu discovered the ex-convict’s talent when he toured Chikurubi Prison last year.

Despite hogging the limelight with her song “Runonzi Rudo” Pachihera got a rude awakening on the night when fans threw objects at her.
Killer T performed well and excited deputy minister of Lands and Rural Resettlement Tendai Savanhu to take the stage and dance to his music.

Savanhu gave the Killer T US$100 by the minister as a token of appreciation for the young musician’s outstanding performance.
Somandla Ndebele and Simon Mutambi staged good performances that saw fans dancing in rain.

The rains did not affect the event as musicians like Jah Prayzah put up splendid performances that excited fans.
Jah Prayzah sampled some new songs from his coming album “Kumbumura Mhute” to the delight of artists.

Other artists who performed at the event include Alick Macheso, Mbare Chimurenga Choir, Tryson Chimbetu, Leonard Zhakata, Peter Moyo and Cde Chinx, Tambaoga and Winky D. Macheso was among artists who managed to keep fans on their toes dancing to his music.
The musician was mobbed and struggled to get out of the venue after his performance.

For the fans it was worth getting soaked for.
