SUNGURA musician, Douglas Mhindirira, believes that music is not about competition but entertaining people.

The artist, who leads a seven-member band, Orchestra Huruyadzo, has just dropped his third album ‘Kurwa Nechinokurira.’

The eight-track album is a reflection of love, marriage and societal issues.

“To me, music is not about competition but it’s a mission to entertain our listeners and teaching about our daily activities including love, marriage and the challenges we face daily.

“This is my third album and I am promising my fans a full package, which is pregnant with lyrics, which will address the things we come across in our daily lives.”

‘Kurwa Nechinokurira’ include songs like Rebecca, Vangwara Varoi, I Do (ndaperera), Kuruma Harigoni, Vadzamisa Gejo, Nzenza Mumvuri, Sanzu and Kuhukura Kwembwa.

“The album was produced by Innocent Mpala.

“In the album, I raised love-related issues as well as challenges we face as human beings based on where we are coming from.

“The videos will be coming as we go and everything is being prepared,” he said.

His first album was called ‘Hazvina Zera Neni,’ which was released in 2012.

‘Masvomhu Hahadi Kufembera’ came nine years later.
