Music promoter Tawanda Chiranga, who worked for Red Rose Entertainment, has died.
He was 33.
Chingara committed suicide by taking poison last Friday after a misunderstanding over a debt.
His body will be taken for postmortem today and burial arrangements will be made thereafter. He will be buried in Chivhu.

Red Rose Entertainment director Barbara Chikosi said Chingara last week borrowed money from a workmate intending to buy wares for resale and promised to return the cash on the same day.

However, Chingara could not return the money as promised and the workmate pressed him until he went into hiding.
“She (the workmate) went to their (Tawanda’s) house with the police and found the now deceased’s brother at home.
“They waited until Tawanda’s wife came around 8pm.

“It is said they wanted to take the wife to the police station to pressurise him,” said Chikosi.
She said the wife called Chingara and he came home and had a two-hour meeting with his creditor. They agreed he would return the money the following day, but he could not fulfil the promise.

“I did not know anything about the deal and I tried to intervene, but he refused to come to work.
“The next thing I heard he had taken poison in Harare Gardens and was taken to Parirenyatwa Hospital where he died the following day.” Artistes and promoters that posted condolence messages on the deceased’s Facebook page described him as a quiet man who loved everyone.

He is survived by his wife Doris Shava and a son.
Mourners are gathered at house number 3770 Glen Norah A, Harare.
