SONGBIRD Lorraine “L Charisma” Makopa says part of her love song titled Like A Star promotes the country’s tourism sector as it shows the beautiful nature of Zimbabwe.

The song, which has a love theme in its visuals and shows the beautiful scenery of the Vumba mountains, has been largely praised by music lovers.

The song’s visuals are mostly dominated by two lovebirds enjoying life and the nature surrounding them.

In an interview with H-Metro, L Charisma said she was in love with nature, and it inspired her visuals while also promoting the beauty of the country.

“Nature is something that I love so much and I have always shown it even in the work I do.

“With Vumba being such a beautiful place in Zimbabwe, it only made sense to showcase a beautiful song with a beautiful location.

“And, yeah, this is something the industry needs more,” she said.

She said the song was inspired by what she sees around.

“It’s a song that was there for a very long time, and it’s something that we created through my producer Manuchie, who helped me put the idea together after I had told him I had an idea called Like A Star.

“The main inspiration being just what I see around me, people, and just wanting to share an emotional but feel-good song,” said L Charisma.

She is elated with the way music lovers have reacted to her project.

“The response has been really great and with each passing day, you realise how much people love good music.

“As long as you put your heart into something, and the intentions are real, you will find good returns in great reviews.

“Not all may be positive at times, but most of them come from a real position.

“So, in all of this, I am grateful,” she told H-Metro.

She started recording music as a backing vocalist about eight years ago.

She started her solo projects last year.

L Charisma has three singles to her name – What You Want, You Are Mine and Like A Star.
