Musician tackles issues affecting society

VERSATILE songwriter, Shelton Chimene, says his music is inspired by his surroundings.

Better known as Changamire Shellaz, the crooner who was raised in Budiriro and Mufakose, said he can sing about anything.

In an interview, Changamire who has been in the game for five years, said he seeks to address issues affecting society through music.

“I am a versatile musician who can sing and adopt to any genre,” he said. “My music is mainly about socio-economic issues affecting everyday livelihoods.

“I have a song titled ‘Mabucket’ which places emphasis on the water crisis affecting us daily.”

He has collaborated with TJ Excitement on the song “Under Age” a track he reckons gives an in-depth focus on the dangers of alcohol and substance abuse.

The talented artiste appreciates the recognition he has been gaining citing it is instilling hope in him as an upcoming musician.
