Mustafi’s price tag

LONDON. — Arsene Wenger has been quoted a staggering £50million for Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi. And the Spanish club are trying to drive a hard bargain with Arsenal to raise enough cash to launch their own bid for Chelsea’s Spanish winger Pedro.

Gunners boss Wenger decided to walk away from Mustafi because of the price but the deal could be rescued because Valencia need the cash.

Arsenal’s transfer fixer Dick Law has gone to Spain to try to broker a deal, with Mustafi still their No.1 target but Wenger is looking at other options.

West Brom’s Jonny Evans is also on their radar but Tony Pulis has kicked up a stink and does not want to sell at any price. — The Mirror.
