MUTARE City Council will launch its 2027 budget consultations at Mutare Hall, formerly Queens Hall, in the Central Business District on Wednesday, with the process expected to extend to suburbs across the city.
The inaugural meeting starts at 2pm and will gather community views on service delivery challenges, funding priorities and resource allocation.
In a statement, the local authority invited residents and stakeholders to contribute to the formulation of the 2027 budget, highlighting sports facilities, support for local sports clubs, arts and culture, inclusive recreational programmes and priority projects requiring funding.
The consultations will bring together community leaders, residents, sports associations, artists, cultural organisations, youth representatives and other stakeholders.
Council encouraged participants to attend and share their views to ensure the budget reflects community needs and priorities.
Wednesday’s meeting will mark the beginning of a series of consultations scheduled to take place in suburbs across the city.
